Say Yes To: Lean Meats, Seafood, Specific Vegetables and Fruits plus Milk, Cheese, Eggs, Yougurt, Cream and Butter.
Say No To: Potatoes, White Rice, Carrots, Beets, White Bread, Refined Sugar and Processed Items.
Typical Menu: BREAKFAST: Grapefruit, Orange or Apple eaten a half hour before whole wheat and bran shredded cereal with Skim Milk and artificial sweetener. Decaf diet drink or coffee.
LUNCH: Green Salad with oil and vinegar dressing, Grilled Chicken or Fish with green or yellow vegetables and decaf coffee or tea.
DINNER: Large green salad, steak, lamb chops, veal chops or hamburger steak with green or yellow vegetables, bean, onions, mushrooms and bell peppers. Water or a glass of wine. Dessert is sugar-free ice cream and diet root beer or slice or two of cheese or a dozen nuts.
DIETICIAN SAYS: "It does make people more aware of added sugars. High-protein diets should include lean-protein sources such as skim-milk dairy products."
